The TC Foundation's main purpose is to support textile conservation, education and research and this it does primarily by supporting the textile conservation education, in the form of the MPhil Textile Conservation, and research at the Kelvin Centre for Conservation & Cultural Heritage Research (previously called the Centre for Textile Conservation and Technical Art History) which is part of the University of Glasgow. The TC Foundation has also supported the development of the exciting new programme, the MPhil Book and Archival Materials Conservation, which begins in September 2025.
The TC Foundation worked with the University of Glasgow to establish the Centre, which was opened by HRH The Princess Royal and which is the successor to the TCC. You can find out more about the history of the Foundation here and about the TCC here.
